Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information The Command LLC, doing business as The Command Project (“TCP,” “we,” “us”), collects when you visit our sites, use The Command Project app (iPhone, Android and web at app.thecommandproject.com), apply, book a call, buy a program, or receive messages from us, and what we do with it.
The short version: we collect what we need to talk to you and run your program. We use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel. We do not sell your information, and we never share your phone number or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
1. Who we are
The Command LLC (“The Command Project”) operates join.thecommandproject.com, brotherhood.thecommandproject.com and thecommandproject.com, The Command Project app (iPhone, Android and web at app.thecommandproject.com), The First Command program, the Brotherhood membership, our other programs and communities, and the emails and text messages we send. Questions about this policy go to support@thecommandproject.com.
2. Information we collect

- Booking details: the date and time you choose for a call and anything you tell us on it.
- Text-message consent: whether you agreed to marketing texts, informational texts, or both, and when.
- Purchase details: what you bought, your payment option, billing name and address, and payment status. Card numbers go directly to our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Program information (clients only): your signed enrollment agreement, your Command Audit onboarding assessment, including the physical baseline you choose to report (for example weight or fitness measures), your daily execution logs, weekly After Action Reviews, scorecards, messages, community posts, and recordings of the group and one-on-one calls you take part in.
- App information (members): your account email and name, profile photo, your daily standards and First Command verdicts, nightly scores and streaks, After Action Reviews, pod and coach messages, community posts and comments, the workouts you log, and the program you choose.
- Health and fitness information you choose to enter: body weight, how you feel, energy and sleep ratings, and calorie and macro targets. It is only collected if you enter it.

- AI coach conversations: what you type to the AI coach in the app and the replies it gives you.
- Feedback and diagnostics: bug reports and ideas you send from the app, with any screenshot you attach and your device or browser model and app version. If the app crashes, a crash report (the error, the screen it happened on, your device type and an account ID, but not your name, email or health data) is sent so we can fix it.
- Notifications: if you turn on notifications, a device or browser token so we can send them. You can turn them off in the app (Profile › Notifications) or in your device settings at any time.
- Anything else you send us, such as emails, text replies or testimonials.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the link or ad that brought you to us, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and pixels: our pages use cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our pages. See Section 6.
- Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is submitting them. It processes device and browser signals to do so.
Information from others
Advertising platforms may tell us which ad or campaign led to your visit or sign-up. When you join a membership or program, HighLevel (our checkout and CRM platform, with payments processed by Stripe) sends us your name, email and what you bought so we can create your app account, and tells us whether a payment succeeded.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your application, schedule and hold your call, and decide together whether a program is right for you.
- To deliver the programs you buy: onboarding, calls, pods, scorecards, reminders and community access.
- To run the app: show you your program, workouts, standards and progress, connect you with your pod and coach, check that a profile photo shows your face, and, if you use the AI coach, suggest a training program and nutrition targets.
- To feature members’ first name and last initial, profile photo, scores, streaks, pod rankings and community posts in our marketing, as described in Section 8 of our Terms. You can opt out by emailing us.
- To process payments, payment plans and refunds, and to keep financial records.
- To send the emails, app notifications and text messages you have agreed to receive (Section 4).
- To measure and improve our ads, pages, content and programs.
- To prevent fraud and spam, secure our systems, and enforce our Terms.
- To comply with the law.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you check a consent box on our forms, The Command LLC may text you at the number you gave us. There are two separate consents and you can give either, both or neither:
- Marketing texts: offers, content and invitations from The Command Project.
- Informational texts: messages about your program, appointments and inquiries.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Full program terms are in Section 9 of our Terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This applies to every part of this policy, including Section 5.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here. All of the categories below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us and may use your information only for that purpose. These include our CRM, booking, email and text platform (HighLevel/LeadConnector), our payment processor, form and e-signature tools (such as Jotform), program databases (such as Airtable), our private community platform (Discord), email and video hosting (Google Workspace and YouTube), and website security and hosting (Cloudflare).
- App service providers. The app’s database, sign-in, file storage and server functions are provided by Supabase. App sign-in codes are sent by email through Brevo. The web app is hosted by Cloudflare. Crash reports go to Sentry. Notifications are delivered through Apple, Google, Expo and your web browser’s push service. Payments are processed by Stripe through HighLevel. They may only use your information to provide those services.
- AI features (Anthropic). The app’s AI coach is powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, PBC. When you use it, what you type is sent to Anthropic so it can write a reply, along with the profile context the coach needs: your name, membership tier, current program, last logged weight and any saved nutrition targets. When you upload a profile photo, it is also sent to Anthropic so an AI model can confirm it clearly shows a face. Anthropic processes this only to provide the service to us and does not use it to train its models. You don’t have to use the AI coach, and the app asks for your agreement before your first message.
- Advertising partners, mainly Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Our pages send Meta information about your visit through the Meta Pixel. We may also give Meta a hashed (scrambled) version of an email address so we can show ads to people who already know us, or keep showing ads to people who already joined. We never give Meta or any other advertiser your phone number or your text-message consent. See Section 6 for how to opt out.
- Other members of your program. Inside the app, other members can see your name, profile photo, the posts and comments you make, and your scores, streaks and pod rankings on scoreboards. Your pod sees your accountability activity. They cannot see your progress photos, weight, check-ins, AI coach conversations or private messages with your coach or pod leader. Members agree to keep what is shared in the room confidential.
- Legal reasons: to comply with law, a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of TCP, our members or others.
- Business transfers: if TCP is merged, sold or reorganized, your information may move with the business, still covered by this policy.
- With your consent, for example a testimonial you approve.
6. Cookies, ads and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of our pages, such as forms and booking, may not work without them.
To limit ads based on your activity:
- In Facebook or Instagram, go to Settings → Accounts Center → Ad preferences.
- Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Email us and we will remove your email address from any custom audience we upload.
Do Not Track. Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so our sites do not currently change their behavior when they receive one.
7. Email
If you give us your email address, we may send you program emails and, if you have not opted out, marketing emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You will still get emails about a program or purchase you are part of.
8. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. That usually means the length of our relationship with you plus a reasonable period afterward, and longer where the law requires it, for example for tax and payment records. Call recordings are kept so that members can watch calls they missed and review their program. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
App data is kept while your account exists. AI coach conversations are kept until you delete your account. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days.
If you delete your app account, we remove your profile, progress check-ins, progress photos, After Action Reviews, AI coach conversations, private messages and the rest of your app data. Community posts and comments you made stay visible, with your name shortened to first name and last initial. Reports you filed about other members are kept without your name. Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, are kept as described above.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it, for example payment records or an active agreement; and
- stop sending you marketing, or remove you from ad audiences we upload.
Deleting your app account: in the app, go to Profile › Delete account. It takes effect right away. You can also email support@thecommandproject.com with the subject “Delete my account” and we will delete your account and app data. Deleting your account does not cancel a membership billed through our website; cancel that in the app (Profile › Membership) first.
Email support@thecommandproject.com with your request. We will confirm your identity, usually by checking the email address or phone number we have on file, and respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
California residents: under California’s “Shine the Light” law you may ask whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not.
11. Children
Our sites and programs are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
Our pages and messages link to other services, such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Discord. Their own privacy policies govern what they collect.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will tell you by email or text before it takes effect.
